EBEL 1911
The history of the Ebel watch begins in 1911, when the brand was founded by Aletta Francoise Frédérique Stas-Bax and Peter Constant Stas, a Dutch couple. The company settled in the Swiss town of La Chaux-de-Fonds and took its inspiration for the name from the initials of their great-grandparents - "Eugène Blum Et Lévy." This formed the basis for the iconic Ebel brand. From the beginning, the brand had a strong focus on innovation and excellence in watch design.
Over the years, Ebel developed into a defining player in the watch world. Over time, the brand managed to establish its reputation by producing high-quality watches that were known for their elegance, craftsmanship and precision. Ebel watches were not only functional timekeepers, but also valuable jewelry that emphasized the style and taste of the wearer.
In 2016, Ebel was acquired by Citizen Holdings, which also owns other renowned watch brands. This acquisition strengthened Ebel's position in the watch industry and attests to the brand's legacy and enduring appeal. Throughout its history, Ebel has proven to be a symbol of elegance and sophistication, with watches that embody a combination of timeless aesthetics and technical innovation.
The Ebel 1911 collection, launched in 1987 in honor of the brand's 75th anniversary, embodies the essence of craftsmanship and timeless class. This masterpiece of watch design was introduced as a tribute to Ebel's rich history and dedication to excellence. Ebel's talented craftsmanship and innovative spirit come together in this collection, with each watch being a refined example of both aesthetics and technical precision.
